Hi guys, my bb has JVM Error 547 , jl_cmder keeps on coming up saying port cannot be opened, when dtm is open it says disconected but it can see the device and pin number when u do a detect device, i installed the software upgrade but dtm has not advised me to upgrade, i tried to follow the loader /nojvm command but i do not have that exe on my computer, im using dtm 4.3, could that be the reason? any help would be appreciated as i have been on with this all day, cheers

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

I dont have one as i have never updated it before!!!

You need to download 2 files.

1 - Go to the Blackberry Website and download the latest Blackberry Desktop Software.

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software | Applications to Synchronize Your BlackBerry and Desktop Data

2 - Go to your device Supplier (ATT, Sprint, etc), and download the latest OS Software for your device.

Once you get those, and have installed them,

Open DOS

Go to the directory:

c:\program files\Common files\Research In Motion.....

(don't forget the "Common Files").

But what do you do with the error screen? just press reset or what?
