Default Alternative to battery pull?

Please Login to Remove!

I think I may have uncovered an alternative solution to the memory leak problem so you don't have to do a battery pull to refresh your available memory. I was playing around in the Options menu on my VZW 8130. Select Mobile Network, and then press the Blackberry key and then select "Diagnostics Test" from the menu. On the Diagnostics Test Application screen, press the Blackberry key and then select Run from the menu. The phone runs through a diagnostic of the system, reregisters the phone and reconnects the phone to the servers. Before I tried this, my free file memory was sitting at around 10 MB. After the diagnostic was complete, I received a message that said that my phone was now registered, and when I went into the Status screen, it showed my free file memory at over 14 MB.

While it doesn't really solve the memory leak problem, it is a faster fix than doing the battery pull and waiting for your phone to reboot.

Works great on the 8100 with AT&T as well. Simple, but incredibly effective little program.
