Default Wiped BB and lost Rogers apps!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, first post - first problem

My Pearl was locking up and working weird so I used JL_Cmder to wipe it and reload the latest Rogers firmware.

However it seems I have lost the Rogers Media player and the Rogers WAP browser.

How do I get them back?

Thanks!

OK. Well I reloaded the file: 8100C_PBr4.2.1_rel179_PL2.3.0.85_A4.2.1.108_Telkom sel

and my WAP browser came back, but I am still missing the Media Player. Its the Rogers branded one that comes on all their phones.

Maybe we can get someone to add to this but you may have to extract that file from there installation package and install it.

I tried getting into the installation package by using winrar, but its not accessable, trying to unzip it just runs the installer.

Could someone post it?

* Is it possible that it gets 'pushed' from Rogers?

** I am not on BIS or BES.

That is probably why it is missing. You used a software for another carrier which did not have the feature. If you load the Rogers version of the software it will probably take care of it.

This is why I recommend that you use the software your carrier provides, not only for this, but your carrier can refuse to support you if they find out you are running a unsupported software version, and they may even void your warranty.
