Check out the AfterMarket Software forum. There is a program there that will let you extract them from a backup of your device.

There is a program called ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter that allows you to do what you want, I believe:

Free download ABC Amber Text Convertor, convert document to PDF, CHM, HTML, RTF, DOC, TXT, WPD, MCW, WPS, SAM, WSD, WRI, RFT
