Default question about address book numbers

Please Login to Remove!

i've notice that if you're reading numbers that were stored on your sim, in the list display it shows the name of the contact on the left and the number on the right. but once it's copied over you only see the name. is there a way for me to view my address book list with numbers next to names?

also this is minor, but i don't want to have to type hyphens in every number i store. for me it's a pain in the ass to look at the number as one long number. is there anything i can do to default hyphens?

thanks in advance

The SIM and BB addressbook are very different and what you are seeing is the only option.

As for the hyphens I don't know a quicker way. Most users sync to thier computer so changes are much faster to be made there.

I know its not the best answer but hope it helps.

You know how when u have the home and mobile number of one contact and you press dial on them in the address book it lets you select either home or mobile to dial? Is there a way I can set a default on that? Like lets say I always call my friend's mobile number and his home number is just for reference.

I use spaces to make numbers easier to read.

A few hints. You can have two entries. One that says John Home one that says John Cell instead of using the address book with all the info in one entry.

I also dial out of my call log as a shortcut, move to the person and press the green button.

And finally use speed dials.

Hope that helps.

Your BB will default to the one you last called or called you, I forget which.
