I know that some programs/themes don't work with this phone. Here is a list of ones that do:

-Opera Mini
-Berry411
-bbweather
-google maps(latest version with locator)

Please list other programs that also work with our 8130.(especially themes)

amAze v4.1.00
BBWeather v0.74 (dunno how to get this to actually work though, where can I find a location ID for my town?)
Gmail v1.1.0
Yahoo! Messenger v 2.0.38

Those are the only 3rd party apps I have on my Pearl.

Fastz...I assume you're using AmAze w/an external BT receiver w/the Pearl...how's your experience been with AmAze, and have you used the voice navigation feature?

Actually, no. It works with the built-in GPS receiver on my Sprint 8130. I haven't used it but maybe a time or two just to see what it looks like. I was comparing it's street maps to the BBMaps's maps. amAze is SUPER SLOW on my Pearl. I think I'm going to uninstall it to be honest with you.

Jake,

It says you have service with T-Mobile. Do you know if nutsie works with Verizon? Their website said it only worked with ATT and some "smaller carriers."

Where can I find Y2ME Flashlight? I searched here and google and come up with zada. I would love to have an app to turn on the Pearl flash...it's nearly blinding and could definitely come in handy.

I've looked also and can't find it. That would be a handy app to have.

ya know, I'm not too sure if nuTsie works on anything else I just know it works for T-Mobile and AT&T and it works fairly well as long as you have a good signal. Basically it just syncs up with your iTunes library and plays the songs in there. Which is good for me since I have like 3000 songs on iTunes and only a 500mb sd card in this thing lol

As for the Y2ME flashlight - I just got rid of it because i left it on the screen when i let it black out and when i went to use my phone after that it was frozen and i had to do a hard reset of my phone. I can't remember where i found it. I know someone in one of the threads on here posted it, on another of these Aftermarket software threads.

Ditto, too slow to be worth it. I'd rather pay 9.99 a month for something that rocks like Sprint Navigation.

bnandreu, I think using BBMaps is just fine. I don't really need a GPS navigation app on my phone. The only thing I use a GPS for is Geocaching and I have a handheld GPS for that.

i got a text message from sprint today saying that sprint navigation was included in my BIS plan and it gave me a link to install it.... i had clicked on the sprint navigation icon when I first got my phone a week ago but didn't install the app because it said it was a 1-day trial and i figured i'd have to pay for it after that.

the text message I got made it seem like navigation would be included for free, so I just installed it... I guess I'll find out tomorrow ;)

I wanted to make a correction to what I posted as Y2ME flashlight. It should actually be J2ME flashlight but its still not all that great. You'd be better off getting one of those lil LED flashlights that clip on your keyring

'cause it's just cooler to have a separate app do it.

I was under the impression that AIM did not run on the 8130? Last I checked there wasn't a version out for it.

Edit: Nevermind, just saw there was one out for Sprint only
