I'm on tmobile with the original pearl and am wondering if anybody has used their pearl to do online banking or online bill payments? How secure is it? And would the BB browser or opera mini be better? Thanks

I use the Opera browser when online banking or bill paying on the go and I have never had any problems.

I have in the past, left the Pearl a while ago, but yes, it works. You may need to use Opera Mini if your browser will not do it.

You are more secure using your BB than your home PC.

Bank of America has a nice mobile banking site, but I've found that I have to use the Internet Browser (which goes directly to the web) instead of the Blackberry Browser (which goes through the BES). You can switch between them under Options > Advanced Settings > Browser.

As for security, it's the same encryption as on your PC, and it's certainly safer than paper checks or in-person credit card transactions.

I am using my new curve for BOA and I used to use my pearl. Its very secure and have never had any problems with it at all.
