Unhappy Just got a Pearl for T-Mobile, Have a Few Questions

Please Login to Remove!

Alright i just got my first blackberry, a pearl, from T-Mo and I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer. Here we go.

#1 - (I know this is a stupid question) How do you change the ringtone?

#2 - Can you change the backlight light control dimmer (or turn it off) so it doesnt adjust to the lighting around you? And if you can, how do you do it?

#3 - Can you use a Slingbox with blackberrys? I know the blackberry operating system is not supported on their website at Sling Media - Home of the Slingbox but I still wanted to know.

Thanks!

#1 - You can change the ringtone in 'Profiles'.
#2 - Go to 'Options' --> 'Screen/Keyboard'. Turn 'Automatically Dim Backlight' off.
#3 - Slingbox does not support BB.

yeah for some reason i couldn't find how to change the ringtone in profiles. It only asks if i want it to be on vibrate, loud, etc. and nothing about it under advanced options too.

for the screen/keyboard option it didn't have an option about "Automatically Dim Blacklight" (i dont know why)

Profiles> Advance Options> Edit> Then select an ap or phone>make sure that:

Volume: isn't on mute
In and Out of holster: Tone or Vibrate+Tone

Select tune> browse...

select tune then save.

Can you change the backlight light control dimmer (or turn it off) so it doesnt adjust to the lighting around you? And if you can, how do you do it?
