Default Callback Number VZW Devices

Please Login to Remove!

Well I have searched high and low for weeks and cannot find an answer anywhere...

I hate the callback number being attached to SMS when you send/receive them. I don't need that. It is right there. Doesn't make sense to me. This has been like this on each Berry I have every used since day one. Didn't care at first because I didn't SMS much. Now I do all the time and it is a waste and my wife HATES the callback number when she gets one from me.

Anyway, easy fix right? Just go to SMS options and delete the callback number? YES!!

NO!! Each time you swap batteries, re-boot or *228 send, the damned thing comes back. Infuriating! Standard phones on VZW don't seem to do this. Does anyone have a trick to remove it? I have looked in BES documentation, etc. and can find nothing.
Thanks!
