Not being able to voice dial with blue tooth while the phone is in its pouch is quite annoying.... not to mention a few of the other bugs (phone numbers not showing up on heading bar of "compose sms messages" and occasionally a white bar appearing down the right side of the device with a 10-15 second lag to the home screen when coming out of standby....)

Has there been any word on an update?

Updates are provided by RIM and then released by the carriers after they "test" and "approve" it. Verizon is slow to roll out updates, but that isn't to say you can't use on of the other carrier OS updates on your device.

The Telus 8130 OS (ver 4.30.0.65) has been released and does fix the BT dialing problem, among other issues. This OS works perfectly on the Verizon 8130...I (and many others) have been running it since it came out.

Sarlic - your profile shows 8830, but this is posted in the 8100 forum. What model BB do you have?

I've spoken with my Verizon Corp rep, and she has communicated back with her RIM rep that supports Verizon...

The response is no word at the moment.. BUT keep in mind.. they don't usually comment until something is already here.
