Default First blackberry- need IM help.

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to search for this.
This is my first blackberry. I use AIM on my phone a lot. I have unlimited text messaging. But I would like to get rid of the $14.99 unlimted text messaging charge, and just pay for the internet, to keep my bill lower.

With applications like jivetalk, im+, ramble do the messages sent through them count/cost as a text message. Or do they simply go through the internet service.
Thanks in advance, sorry if this has been asked a million times over.

Those IM clients use data, not text messages.

That is correct. They messages are covered with the data plan. I highly recommend JiveTalk.
