Unhappy O2 8120 Software

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know where I can download the software that ships with the 8120 on O2?
I just upgraded my 8120 to the Bharti Airtel - 4.3.0.135 and now I find some of the functions are not working .
For example I can no longer enter any pasword, key input does not work and I seem to be getting a lot of Java exceptions.

I guess I should try and backrev, just need the software.

Thanks in advance.

kerrglen, I don't see it listed on the O2 website, but I wonder if you called them and asked for RIM BlackBerry support, they could help you out?

Or at least downgrade to the 4.3.45 version?

I have just finished downloading the 4.3.0.45 O/S.
How do I back rev? I installed it, plugged in the 8120 but nothing happend? I guess I need to delete something?

I will give O2 a call as a last resort, I am sure the O/S from O2 shipping on the 8120 is 4.3.0.64.

downgrade, I should have linked to this before:
How do I downgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

Simply make sure you delete the newest OS from the PC, and delete the vendor.xml file as usual.

Good luck. I hope this works better for you.

I had problems with my O2 8120 constantly resetting and and needed to reload the software that shiped with the device.

I spoke to O2 RIM support and they said they would only provide a download for a newer version once released. They have no plans to offer downloads for the version shiped with the devce ... I ended up downgrading to the 4.3.45 version.

Default Downgrade

That's what I have ended up doing, going back to the .45 code and it seems to be ok, but it does tend to lock the phone every now and then. I was planning to call O2 today, so I guess you have just saved me wasting half my day hanging on the phone. Thanks.
