Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Out of curiosity why? I am in a poor service area so I can't give you a good value

Try using a moble speed test.
http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed

Edit: Opps, that one doesn't work on the BlackBerry. Try this instead...
Mobile Speed test

The responses you get will be largely meaningless to you.
Everyone gets different speeds depending on a good number of factors.
Time of Day, Geographical Area, Signal Strength, tower congestion, etc...

Someone can get 100kpbs one minute, and 24kbps an hour later.

You shouldn't base your decision on someone else's experiences with this.

Add the data plan, play with it for a day, worse case cancel it the next day and you are only out 66 cents.
