Default How do you register your Pearl with a different carrier?

Here's the situation.

Completely unlocked T-Mobile Pearl that came with BES. I've got everything setup for BIS but I've got no browser access, BB maps doesn't work, and I don't think BB Messenger is either. There's no browsing restrictions on the phone as far as I can see, but I can't get my data plan to work. I went to setup my email on the Rogers website, but when I entered the PIN and IMEI it wouldn't allow me to setup the email because those numbers are still registered with T-Mobile I'm assuming. Do I need to just call Rogers? I just went through a huge hassle to flash the phone and get all the new drivers installed properly, and it was an ordeal so I'm just trying to save myself some hassle. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You need to call TMo and release the PIN and IMEI from TMo. You need to do that (or who ever had the account registered with TMo, for some reason should it not have been you).

Then the PIN/IMEI will be available for Rogers registration.
