I receive an error on my browser that states:
"The network is currently unavailable, however an old version of the page you requested is available in the cache. Do you want to view the page?"
or
"You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. As a result, the browser cannot receive any web pages. Please try again when you are in a location, or contact your service provider if the problem persists. OK or Save Request"

However, I am still receiveing email and text alerts. I have to remove my battery and reset the device. Once I do that everything is fine. I have also tried to clear the cache, memory and history to no avail.

I get that from time to time, and will turn the wireless off and back on (under Manage Connection icon -> uncheck then check Mobile Network).

Kind of a pain, I agree.

Even though you can get email/text still the device needs the 1X or 1XEV connection for the internet.

Email/text can be send in little data bits and will retry until it can successfully resend if the connection gets 'choppy'. The browser needs a continuous connection, and if the connection drops, then so does your session.

I have this problem too and am on Sprint. I'm not too happy about it but haven't figured out what to do about it yet (it hasn't happened too often yet to be super annoying). I can turn the network off, then back on and it's usually fine but that sucks.

The real problem is I have work messages sent to my blackberry email address that can come in, in the middle of the night, and they are important that I get them. If the network goes out in the night I woun't get the message til I wake up and check to see if I have a connection. If it continues I'll have to take it back I guess. Not what I expected from a BB
