I did a search on this forum and saw someone else had a similar problem but his phone would reboot on its own after about 5 seconds of being frozen. The suggestion was to install newer software but somehow the problem resolved itself on his phone with no intervention. I have updated the software twice since this problem first occurred. I can't remember what version I had when it first started but I updated to 220.127.116.11. I'm on T-Mobile so I thought that might do the trick but no such luck. I have since updated to 18.104.22.168 and still have the exact same problem. I see a new version of the software recently was released so I'll probably try that but I'm guessing it won't solve anything. Short of returning the phone, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Would be nice to be able to start using my camera again.
Well updating the OS would be my first course of action. Have you checked your free memory? Might this be occuring when it's low? Are you storing your pics on a media card? There might be some setting to check with that as the camera will try to access when it's activated. Otherwise, it might be hardware but I am leaning toward memory.
