Default 8100 Bluetooth Headset Users - Need Your feedback!!

Please Login to Remove!

I am looking to receive a high end bluetooth headset for the holidays. I will be using this on an 8100 and possibly and 8120, when its available. Which do you prefer?

I am trying to beside between the Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset (silver) Bluetooth Headset reviews - CNET Reviews and the Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth headset Bluetooth Headset reviews - CNET Reviews.

The real dealbreaker here is the stereo on the Plantronics. I guess I am trying to decide if I will ever ditch my iPod and use my BB. Is it worth it? And for that matter, does it even work on the 4.2 OS? I also am not a fan of the ear support piece on the Jawbone, but I have never used one like it so I am just speculating.

Please let me know your thoughts if you use either one of these. If you have used both, even better!!

Thanks...

Another poster here said that he liked the Jawbone, but the ear piece was a pain to get on. I haven't tried either, though.

I tried the Jawbone, and it wasn't a pain to get on, but the way the Jawbone is spring loaded to press against your cheek, it kept pulling out of my ear, so the only thing that kept it on my ear was the ear hook. I can imagine spinning quickly and seeing the Jawbone flying off my ear. I ended up returning it.

I also tried the Plantronics stereo Voyager 855, but returned that as well. People complained that they could barely hear me with it in a car with the window half open. Also, the stereo sound through Bluetooth was tinny. While it was great that you actually were able to stream music through Bluetooth, the sound couldn't compare at all versus wired headphones. Wired headphones blows Bluetooth away.

You might have better luck asking this in the Bluetooth forum...and looking for information already posted there.

Since I am not getting as many responses here as I would like to, can one of the mods move this thread to the bluetooth Forum? And if possible can you remove the '8100' out of the subject?
