Default Motorola to blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I just purchased a BB 8100 and I have a few questions. First of all I'm coming from a motorola l7 which died on me and I had a microsd card in it with pictures, I put the card in the BB but for some reason when I go to multimedia it wont open the pictures on the card, does the BB not accept the picture format from motorola?. Also where can I download backgrounds custom applications for my bb? thanks, Stan.

Media Center - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community

Applications, see the Aftermarket Software section, and our FAQ, site in my sig below, "Third Party Applications".

i don't know about motorola images, what format they are. Do you know? Why not copy them off on your PC and see what you have. i know jpgs will open on a BB.

Good luck, and welcome to the BBForums.

on the BB you Select Media to view movies ands Pictures or liten to music and ringtones.
The BB creates a directory on the MicroSD card called "Blackberry" (The Motorola probably did something similar... my Motorola did) and stores everythnig in subfolders under that. If you connect your BB to your PC you can probably mount it as a removeable USB storage device. You can the browse to it and copy the files from the old Motorola folders to the new Blackberry folders.

For me this worked like a charm.

Yeah...the folder structure on the Moto memory cards is very different, and the BB isn't going to know where to look for the pictures, or any other media, for that matter.
