Angry Can't Connect on Vista Ultimate 64

I plug my Pearl into the USB on my computer, and the computer doesn't even recognize that anything has been plugged into the USB. All my other USB devices work fine.

I have the Blackberry Pearl. I am running a Intel Core 2 Quad on an Asus Motherboard.
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64
I have tried using Blackberry Desktop 4.1 SP1, 4.1 SP2 and even the new 4.2 I found on another service providers website.

And I have the exact same problem with all of them. It just doesn't detect it at all, I don't get any error msgs, I don't get anything at all. The blackberry recognizes it has been connected to a computer and asks me for my mass storage device password on the pearl itself, but the computer doesn't respond at all. It doesn't come up in Windows explorer or Blackberry Desktop.

Any solutions to this that anyone knows of?
