Default 8130 SureType Newbie Question

Please Login to Remove!

So I am experimenting with Suretype for the 1st time on a 8130.
I typed the following message without looking at the screen:

lets see what happens

when i looked up at the screen, this is what is displayed:

Let's are what happens.

I thought the system would "know" what i meant and use the word "see", is this not correct? Could other 8130 users do this test and let me know their findings? Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (Pearl: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

It does "know" what you are typing but certain key combinations will result in similar words, i.e. See and are. If you notice when you type that key combination it gives you options on which word to select.

Suretype is great technology but it does take time to adapt.

I have a similar problem particularly with the words "see" and "are". However this is one of the few instances where I have to change what Suretype selects. As you type more and more with it, it will begin to recognize what you are typing and select the correct word for you. I find more often than not, if Suretype selects the wrong word I have made a typo.

It is taking me some time to get adapted to the Pearl suretype, too. But over all, I'm really happy with it. I thought it would be much harder than it is. I switched from an 8703e just a few days ago.
