Default Anything Useful? - 12-24-2007, 11:06 PM

So i just got my pearl and ive been playing around with it for the past few days and im wondering is there programs out there than dont require the internet connection or that cost? i mean everything on this phone costs even themes for cyring out loud.

i mean i found some free ones, and i found that colorpearl prog but im wondering is there any other useful programs? like a pdf reader? not an email attachment one? or a word document reader?

since i dont got a data connection on it.

You are finding that the blackberry is different. It isn't a PPC.

For what it might be worth, take a look at 3rd Party Application List - BlackBerryFAQ if you haven't already. You might find something, don't know.

I haven't paid for a single thing so far, and I'm enjoying this BB Pearl (Alltel) more than any phone I've ever had. This isn't to say I'm acquiring anything by less than moral means either. Everything I've used so far has been free.

There are a ton of things you can do with your BB.

i guess if you had the data package so you can have internet its perhaps better, but me on the other hand i dont know what there is out there, i mean can you open .pdf or .doc documents without having them as attachments in emails?? google maps is great but too bad you cant have pre loaded maps so it doesnt need to download them.

Try going in and signing up for the Blackberry Owners Lounge. It is hosted on the RIM Blackberry website. You will be able to get at least one, maybe two, free games. I was able to download Soduku and yesterday got Christmas Pool. You can load them via DM instead of over the air.

Good luck.
