Hello I just ordered a gold pearl from t-mobile and i have a few questions. I will not be getting a data plan with the phone and i have been reading a lot of posts about different versions like 4.3 or 4.2 or something. If i do not have the data plan will i be able to get the new versions as they come out? Also what are these new versions are they like firmware or what?

Thanks in advance!

Yes like a firmware and you install them via your PC. At the top of the Pearl thread there is a Sticky that has a link to the latest version to download.

Yes. Search these forums. There is an entire section related to Aftermarket software. You could also check out Handango.com to purchase some cool apps. Enjoy.

Enjoy your new phone and I'm guessing that you'll be getting a data plan very soon once you start playing with the Pearl.

i know that it must sound weird but actually im not going to be getting a data plan with it. First of all im only 15 so i dont have enough money to pay another 30 $ a month . also i needed a new phone and i just liked the pearl even if it is a business phone. so im just going to be using it for texting and calling

I guess that's why he said "soon once you start playing with the Pearl."

A BlackBerry without internet just doesn't make sense :P

Half of my applications are internet-based
