Default SureType turning itself off? - 01-01-2008, 07:00 AM

hi,
i have a small issue with my bberry turning the suretype function off. i can type an email now, send it, 3 min later try to type another one but the suretype is off this time.... what am i doing wrong? is there a shortcut or a key that i am not aware of?

If I recall correctly in a past Pearl OS, the * key was a shortcut to toggle Suretype to MultiTap. Press the * key in any text field.

on the bberry pearl the * button opens up the symbols field in any text...
outside the txt it's a shortcut for unread messages.

it keeps doing that...not only on mine but on so many others bberries...

Later OS's that shortcut for SureType/MultiTap was removed.
