Default Thunderbird on Blackberry - 01-01-2008, 10:14 PM

Hi im wondering if i can get my email on my blackberry or can i not use my isp's email. Thanks. Another question i have is when i get on the navigation it loads up everything and then when i type in a address it says i have a weak signal but i have full bars? Is there something wrong with the software or phone?

What is the network indicator showing? 1x, 1X, 1xev, or 1XEV? These are case sensitive so look carefully.

To setup email accounts on your BlackBerry see the information on the BlackBerryFAQ.

as long as they are upper case your BlackBerry is able to send/receive email. Lower case letters and it cant.

RIM only has true push email with GMail and Yahoo. For other email providers, it polls the email every 15 minutes.

That is not completely correct any longer, as ANY domain hosted with Google Domains or GoDaddy now are able to get the instant push email.

the device does nothing to get the email. the blackberry internet service checks all your integrated accounts, and sends that to the blackberry, (pushing the information to the device) rather than the device going to get it (pulling)
