Sorry...noobie here but I have a quick question. I would like to transport the data from my previous phone (vzw, enV). I have a 1GB micro SD that when I put it into the Pearl it says the card can't be read and needs to be formatted. Any tips? I would like to keep the same music and photos if possible.

hook the enV up to the computer and copy your data off of it. Put the card into the blackberry and then copy the data back to the card into the blackberry folders that will be created

yeah if you have the data cable for the enV you should be able to just copy all files off of the card to the computer. then you can format the microSD card inside the pearl. once that is done, enable mass storage mode on the pearl and you will see an external drive in your "my computer". copy all the data back into the blackberry folders where appropriate. ie

blackberry > music is music, blackberry > pictures are the pictures, etc.

you can also use the roxio media manager program from within Desktop Manager to convert the files for the blackberry.

When I place the empty card back into the Pearl, how do I format it?

options > media card > menu > format card
