Question How to send SMS voice notes

Please Login to Remove!

I tried searches using various keywords, and was unable to find what I needed. Depending on the keywords, my results were too few, or 80 possible threads. ( I was gettin hits with anything the word voice was in)

Also checked the FAQs but failed to find what I needed.

Not sure if even possible, but I'd like to send a voice note using SMS text. I think I did that a few months ago, but forget how I did it?

My action so far :

applications>voice recorder. When I complete my message the prompt asks if I wanna send a MMS message, but NO SMS option. I don't have this lady's email but I have her mobile number, so MMS won't work. Help?

The main point to understand here, is that SMS is used to send text, while MMS is used to send multimedia objects (images, audio, video, rich text).

If you want to send a voice note, you'll need to send it via MMS. After recording a voice note and selecting a recipient, the recipient's cell phone number and email address are both options (if they are populated for that contact). So, even if you don't have the person's email, you can still send it to their cell, via MMS.

I hope this helps.
