I downloaded Color Pearl, the demo for Grid Magic, and the Blink Berry app. Ever since I did that, I cannot VIEW any files on my media card or any pictures, videos, etc. that is pre-loaded on my phone. I see the thumbnails and can even highlight the image and save it as a background, but if I click on it to view it larger, I get an error message stating "Unable to display file/Device Memory/samples/pictures/accelerate.png for example. It is that way for any loaded media pictures and videos.
I was able to when i first did it, but now, nothing...
I formatted the media disk and lost all my images. No biggie, but I thought that would help. It didn't...
Have you tried removing the battery and reinserting?
Also, did you by chance install these using the Desktop manager? There was a known issue with using Desktop Manager and the AT&T Pearl where that would happen if the OS installation package wasn't also installed on the PC. Usually the browser was lost too. Install the OS to your PC and run Application Loader again. You may not find your OS listed and you'll likely need to upgrade to a newer one.

Yes, I pulled the battery and I also did these downloads via the PC. I drug images from the PC to the phone and it worked before I installed these different applications. I did load the apps via the PC, though... It's been locking up a few times, too. It's literally 3 days old...

I would begin removing the applications one at a time. Do a hard rest and try to access. Your introduced change which impacted your functionality. Once you have determine with app is interfering then you can decide if you can live without it. You other option is wiping the BB and starting from scratch to see if they will work upon reinstall.

E-
How do I do that? I downloaded the same apps to my dad's phone (got it the same time and same store) and he's got zero issues...
I also get this warning when I start the unit up after pulling the battery or turning it back on:
"Uncaught exception: application registry. wait for (0xac3ae76427d17f19) timeout"
Go to post #2 above and do what John Clark said: First backup your Pearl using DM. Unplug it. Then download the newest ATT os (.154 I think, use Clark's link in the post) to your pc and then install it. Then connect your device and follow the instructions. I can take a pretty long time, be patient. It should automatically restore your latest backup. Then hopefully you'll be OK. You have to resend the sevice books at the end to get your browser back.
What he's saying is that there's something funky about installing 3rd party apps using the computer if the operating system is not on the computer too. And the os is only on your phone when you get it. The software disc with Device Mgr doesn't have the os on it. Why, I don't know.
