I have a Blackberry Perl 8120 and have noticed an intermittant fault, which i am at a loss to fix.

Sometimes when i receive a message on blackberry messenger, the led changes from green to red (as it is supposed to do), but then sometimes it will not clear back to green again.

I think this tends to happen if i have the messenger software open and get another message, even if i actually highlight the new message, the indicator still will not return to green.

The only way round this is to turn the blackberry off.

Anyone else had this or can advise how to clear the indicator?

Could be a bug... also, have you received any new mail or other alerts in that time period?

That happens to me as well, but closing the conversation usually fixes the problem.

I see this all the time. It's seems to occur when I get a BB Messenger Notify, without checking it and I get another message alert and I check the newer first. I think it is also tied to accessing it from the Message Folder as opposed to opening the messenger application.

usually just wait for the next new alert. Once I open the new item it clears.
