You're right the "sym" button works on the pearls. Also just set the options to full screen and it should automatically go away after a few seconds.

Thanks for confirming! Is that on the 8130 or on the 8100?

My phone is an 8100. I don't see where I can change the settings to full screen. I also tried the SYM key an nothing happens. I'm on OS 4.2.1.107

When watching a video you press the menu button and the option should be right there.

Ok, just tried mine and no dice. No "sym" button or no "options" in my menu. Mine is a T-Mobile Pearl 8100 that I got back in October.
Thanks for any help.

Same here. Must be the version of the OS. What version are you using that shows the full screen option?

The 8100 pearls do not have this option yet.
Maybe in the 4.3 release, but i'm not sure.
I'm sure john or J will chime in. I'm pretty sure they have beta tested 4.3.

Kinda lame that the new Pearls have that option and we have to wait to get 4.3. I hate you new Pearl folks!
