Default stereo headset for 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone recommend a good wired stereo headset for 8100?

For Bluetooth, it has to be one without the band behind the head. They are too difficult to carry around in the pocket.

Thanks!

Hmm, can someone confirm if 8100 can work with stereo headset, wired and bluetooth? If not, I'd probably return it.

thx

8100 will work with wired stereo headset but not bluetooth stereo headset. As posted above the next OS version will support BT stereo.

It will work with a stereo Bluetooth headset, it just won't be in true stereo. The headset my pearl came with works great.

It will only play on one side of the headphone. BT stereo is not supported.

Wired stereo is supported. The newer BB's, including the 8100, come with a stereo (wired) headset.

I got one with 1 earbud with 8100. Do you mean 8130?

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

When I got my Pearl in September of 2006 it came with one standard wired headset (one bud.) However, since then they've started including stereo wired headphones with the 8100 and all new media enabled BB's. So, the 8100's now come with stereo headsets (wired).

Mine (8100 Tmobile less then two weeks old) came with a stereo headset, nicest headset that I've ever received with a phone.

Amazon.com: New OEM Blackberry 8100 8100c Pearl 8800 Stereo Headset: Cell Phones & Service

I had a Bluetrek bluetooth stereo headset for a while that would output Mono sources to both ears, not true stereo but better then one ear. Never tested it with a RIM device as I got rid of it before I got my Pearl.

RE: the new 4.3xx OS, is it still in the "we'll see it when we see it" stage or is there a release date Being talked about? Just wondering. I ordered a Motorola S9 headset and never thought about true stereo issues.

EDIT: Just noticed it may have been released a couple of days ago. Will TMO have the official update or is that something that can't be determined?

EDIT 2: Disregard this question if it sounds too stupid. After Superbowl fog....
