Default Restore question - 8830 to 8130 - 01-20-2008, 04:08 PM

Coming from the 8830 and backed up my device prior to changing to the 8130. I had a ton of recordings and pictures on my 8830 but when i went to desktop mgr to restore them back to my 8130, I dont see any option on there for recording/ringtones or pics. Suggestions?

Were the recordings and pictures on the microSD card?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8100: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I think there is a section for this. I believe it is called Content something. I can't remember exactly what it is called, and I am away from my computer.

Oh yeah...I completely forgot about that...It's called "Content Store"...thanks for jarring my memory....only other question I have is when I move it from my backup copy to my device will it add everything to it or will it overwrite it? I have some things on my 8130 already that I dont want to lose.

I am pretty sure it will overwrite what is there. I would recommend getting a microSD card to store your items. It will save your not only is it easier to move items between devices, but you can save main memory space.

I know I have moved pictures and music. I think if you go to the item in main memory, press the menu key after highlighting the item, I believe there will be a Move option.
