Default 8130 newbie question: backlit desktop

Please Login to Remove!

I noticed at first the screen was really bright, then it would go dim. at random times it would go to full capacity brightness. I'm not sure how to control this, it would be really helpful to know.

Thanks in advanced!

UPDATE: figured it out... now if i can just figure out how to wake the screen when i get an e-mail/SMS msg

No can do. You can put an audible alert and LED alert, but that is all.

Unless it is in the holster, THEN, if you hear an email/SMS alert, remove from holster and the screen will open to that message.

That is not a configurable option.

Bummer. you'd think that's something you could do, but I can live without. who knows, maybe it will surface in a software update.
