Hi all, I'm new here, but thought someone might be able to help me resolve my problem before calling AT&T (my carrier) or their IT department...

This weekend, my blackberry suddenly deleted all of my text messages that I hadn't saved, as well as my entire call log. I had my settings set so that text messages were deleted every 15 days, so I figured 15 days had passed (though I was under the understanding that the phone would delete the individual texts that turned 15 days old, and not all of the un-saved ones...

Anyway, so I thought it was just the phone cleaning itself out. But then I went back and changed the settings to keep the messages forever. Now, when I get text messages, if I don't read them in a few minutes, the phone will delete them. I don't have a call log building up, even though I'm placing and recieving calls. Sometimes it keeps the log and text messages, and then the next time I look, they're all gone.

This is just an issue with the texts and call log, because my emails are not being deleted.

Someone help!!!

have you check the folders to see if they have disappeared as well? go to your messages, then "view folder" and then search for your texts and call logs to see if theyre still there.

Buy a microSD card and save all pics/music there..you wont have the problem again.
