Default Network Selection Question

Please Login to Remove!

In one of the buildings I take classes at I get no T-Mobile service (my service provider), but I get AT&T service which includes EDGE I can use internet and send/receive emails and such. If I put it into manual selection of network and select AT&T it works as long as there is no T-Mobile service around. When there is T-Mobile service around it says the AT&T network is for emergency use only, but 50 ft. away I could use it for however I pleased. When I get home I get T-mobile service, but I get no EDGE I only get GPRS because of the location I am at I suppose because when I am home in Atlanta I get constant EDGE on T-Mobile network. Is there any way I can use the AT&T network when I am at school so that I can use my EDGE instead of GPRS?

If you can't hold it in manual then there's not much you can do.

It is not possible to hold it on AT&T. lol, I tried for two years.

Those two carriers have very few roaming agreements, thus you are even lucky to use the bit of AT&T signal you can.
