Default Keypad help

I keep dropping periods, caps, and spaces where I don't want them while composing text messages. I've been using the unit almost a year, and this problem only started a few weeks ago.

Have I accidently activated some kind of keypad shortcut or something? (like a 2 second pause automatically gets ya period) Or have I suddenly become inept? ?

Go to Options >Advanced Options >Language and make sure your languages are still set to English. Beyond that, I'm not sure. Did the device get wet at all?

It is in your setting somewhere. I cant remember right now. But if you give a double space it will insert a period etc.

I'm thinking that is my problem, where do I fix it?

There is not an option to turn that on or off.

When you say "dropping" do you mean you are not getting the periods, caps, and spaces, or you are getting them too often--more than you want?

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I assumed you were getting them when you shouldn't. It sounds like you are getting them where you should. This a feature and can be turned off for sms but not for any other messaging. It auto-capitalizes the first word in a sentence and inserts a period at the end when you double space. Great feature, IMO. I wish my computer did it!
