I am haveing trouble connecting with the Mobile IM program i d/l for my pearl. the program d/l fine but when i attempt to sign in with either AIM or Y! it says unable to connect with server. anyone having the same problem or better yet know how to fix it?

Yahoo and AIM,,,,,.. I recall reading in other threads that they use jive talk (i think that the name of the application?)

JiveTalk is a multi-client IM chat application, meaning it incorporates many clients into it's ability, such as AIM, Yahoo, GTalk, and many more.

Yahoo Messenger is a single-client application. It allows only Yahoo members.
AIM allows aim subscribers.

the application i was reffering to in my first post is called "Mobile IM" in this program you can choose to log into an AIM account, Windows Messenger account or a Yahoo messenger account. I have both an AIM and Y! account when attempting to sign it, i get an error message that reads "Network error: Can't contact server!"

try resetting the BB, pull the battery , replace reboot.

will resetting the BB by pulling the battery erase any other information stored on the BB ie. contacts and calender info?

also be aware that Mobile IM uses SMS messages not true IM so I hope you have a text messaging package.
