ok.

JiveTalk is a multi-client IM chat application, meaning it incorporates many clients into it's ability, such as AIM, Yahoo, GTalk, and many more.

Yahoo Messenger is a single-client application. It allows only Yahoo members.
AIM allows aim subscribers.

the application i was reffering to in my first post is called "Mobile IM" in this program you can choose to log into an AIM account, Windows Messenger account or a Yahoo messenger account. I have both an AIM and Y! account when attempting to sign it, i get an error message that reads "Network error: Can't contact server!"

Thanks for clearing that up for me Jsand, I don't use any IM applications so I would be considered by most to be missing out, I guess.

Thanks

also be aware that Mobile IM uses SMS messages not true IM so I hope you have a text messaging package.

Buy Jivetalk you wont be disappointed
