Hey Guys...this may be a stupid question, but I have been shaking my brain trying to get my head around it...
I have an AT&T Pearl that I do not use anymore. I work with T-Mobile, and they are offering us a great plan.
I do not want to buy a new phone as I loved the Pearl, and would love to use it...however, I would really like to take advantage of MyFaves - Even if I can't use MyFaves, I would like to at least have the Pearl branded to T-Mobile.
I attempted to wipe the complete OS from the BlackBerry using JL_CMDER, and updated the phone using a T-Mobile Update from the BlackBerry website...but when it finally finished (and yes, I did delete the Vendor.xml file), the phone still had AT&T Branding...
Is there anyway to get rid of the AT&T branding completely and make way for T-Mobile?
I know this seems like a n00b question, but I am advanced at this...but I cannot get my head around this one! I have looked on all the forums possible, and only found 1 answer which is what I had already tried...
(Installing new update and deleting Vendor.xml etc.)
PLEASE...if ANYONE has any ideas or knows how to get the complete Standalone install or any suggestions whatsoever, let me know!
You can never get rid of the branding on the phone. The OS installed to the device doesn't make any difference, either. All you need to do is unlock the device.
You can add the MyFaves apps to the device if desired, though. You'll need to edit the Blackberry.alx file to have it load the TMo myfaves .cod's to an AT&T device (vendor code 102.)
