I suddenly started receiving this message at the end of my synching process with my desktop. I get the boing sound and the message "Unable to write or update application data" but as far as I can tell the contact, calendar, etc updates as suppose to. Instead of completing the final step I get the message so just click x and close out, and as far as I can tell everything is synched.

Is something goin undone? Any ideas on how to make it go away?

And, look at your SYNC log in Desktop Manager to determine where the error lies.

or lays?

Update- I followed the link provided by Paul and scanned the posts, and found my solution.

To make a long story short, I had a bogus contact in Outlook, somehow I created a new contact, but never filled in the info. The Blackberry didn't like that. I deleted the blank contact and good to go.

I switched views to "phone list" and was easily able to find the blank, it was at the top of the page. I only have about a 100 contacts, so not that big a deal for me to track it down in the default view, but for those of y'all with several thousand prolly mandatory ya go to list view.

Just in case someone else runs across the same problem.

Very good Guy.

The BB will not import a contact with NO entry in either the First, Last or Company name field. Nothing in one of those three, and it can't index the entry, and therefore won't import and the sync hangs.
