my friend has problem with her pearl and she asked me to take a look at it. all it shows is white screen. and no error code. shes able to receive calls but nothing else. tried a reset and a battery pull but nothing. has this happened to anyone else? any help would be much appreciated.

Was the device dropped or did it get wet? Does the screen light up? The LCD might be shot. You can buy replacement parts now. Is it under warranty if it wasn't damaged?

is there a way to tell if its just the screen. cuz all it is, is a white screen.

let's wait for some other members to chime in before we delcare it a bad LCD. If it lights up and is white then I'm guessing the LCD is broken.

i was on pinstack. and other people have had that problem. they said it was software issue. i have reinstall the os. do you know what the program used to wipe the os is called?

actually its happening to mine right now.. and i just got it from the warranty center from at&t white screen no hourglass... yet strangely someone called me and i picked it up and was able to talk

It happens to me as well. I have to pull the battery periodically. Even when
I replace the battery, it often doesn't boot up. I sometimes have to pull
the battery 10 times before it will boot. It'll be fine for days then all of
a sudden I'll get the white screen of death.
