Do you mean it loses it's connection to the Jawbone or that it disables BT and you have to re-enable it from the options menu? | | Offline

| I had the same problem with my BlueAnt headset. The solution I stumbled into was that I had previously turned off the bluetooth blue LED on my 8130. I turned it back on just so I could at least tell when my 8130 turned off it's bluetooth, and lo and behold that seems to keep the headset from turning off the bluetooth on the phone. | | Offline

| I reported this issue before, and I was having my bluetooth on my pearl turn off every 5 to 30 minutes. and can't never solve the problem. but after I reset the pearl to factory condition and installed nothing and just let the bluetooth turn on and not paired it wouldn't turn off at all, then I let the bluetooth headset connect to the pearl, it still conncts after 8 hours, then after a few days, I started to install applications and so far no more problems. I have no idea why it doesn't turn off any more, but it was so damn annoying when that happend when I first got my pearl. and here is the another problem, my pearl's voice command doesn't not dial the number it says it's going to dial. and it's so damn annoying too.. I am about to throw my pearl out the windows already. | | Offline

| Mine has never turned off like noted above, so no idea why this happens to some.
You could try upgrading to the Alltel OS. (Link at top of this forum.) Might help the BT issue, certainly won't hurt, and provides other benefits. | | Offline

| I had similar issues, and updating to the Alltel software took care of it.
The only prob it created was that under "EMail Reconciliation" all of the options have disappeared.
Any ideas? | | Offline

| How can I get this back?
I even tried "downgrading" back to the VZW software and it does not show up.
Going back to the Alltel version doesn't restore it either?? | | Offline

The bluetooth will turn off no matter what headset including the jawbone, blueant z3, and a sprint motorola one made for my device. At the end I listened to this guy this message about the blue led keeping it on and low and behold it WORKED. I can't believe it. Thanks a lot for the info. | | Offline

| I DESPISE blinking lights and when the option to turn the Blue LED off became available I did a happy dance. I'll try turning mine on to see if this helps, but it won't make me any happier.
I did hear VZ is about to release a fix to the BT problem. | | Offline

OP, if you look in the sticky in the Bluetooth forum, I have pretty well documented my testing which proves (to my satisfaction, at least) that an idle BT connection to a headset will cause the phone to Disable BT in 2 - 10 minutes, if the BT LED indicator is set to Off.
With the LED indicator set to On, idle connections work just fine. Dumb, but a fact (as far as I'm concerned, anyway).

| Hey guys, sorry to beat a dead horse from the dead, but I'm kind of having this same issue. I thought it started after I synced up my 8100 with Pocket Mac, but now I'm thinking that it was the Jawbone headset that did me dirty.
For the life of me, I can't get any Bluetooth devices to stay paired. It will always connect initially, but after about 5 seconds or so, it would lose the connection. Every time. This happens with GPS devices, headsets, other phones, and my computer, all of which I've had no problems connecting to in the past. I vaguely remember being able to click on the options for the device from my Bluetooth manager on my Pearl and there being a "connect to device" option... I can no longer see that. Now, all I see is "Delete Device" and "Device Properties"
I've updated to the latest OS to no avail.
I reverted back to my last OS settings to no avail.
I completely wiped out my Pearl and reset it to factory settings (no 3rd party applications) and still no connection.
I can provide more details if needed, but for the life of me, I can't figure this out. None of the above methods have worked. I even sent some bluetooth devices back to online retailers because I thought the devices were messed up. Now that I know it's my phone, does anyone know of anything I can do to fix this? | | Offline
