Is there a way to install the original blackberry browser?
I have a vodafone blackberry with the vodafone browser which is not exactly the same.

Thanks in advance

Do you have a blackberry data plan? The service book for the native browser is pushed to the device with the service plan.

If you have a generic carrier's data plan, you will not have the blackberry browser. There is a blackberry-specific data plan/service which you must purchase in order to use the blackberry-branded services. I'm asking if you have that. If you do, the blackberry browser will be enabled. If you do have thw service and don't have the browser, thew solution is to resend the service books. See blackberryfaq.com and read about BIS. There is also an article on how to use blackberry with a generic data plan.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

The reason I want the original browser is simple.
Like i mentioned before, i have the vodafone browser.
With the vodafone browser you can not download google sync for blackberry.
(you get the "MIDlet is missing" thing.
I found the three cod's for google sync and created the alx and with Blaberry desktop software i installed the google app easily.

Anyway, I still want the original blackberry browser so i have some work to do with your answer.
Thanks again.

I don't know, but your vodafone browser sounds analogous to the t-zones wap browser on t-mobile. Or maybe medianet on AT&T. Anyway, you are correct, I think, in that it's useless to you for OTA downloads. You *must* use the blackberry browser for OTA. See those links I sent you, and figure out whether you are paying for a blackberry data plan or just generic phone data service, and that will answer many questions.
