And now I cant manage my media from my blackberry software. Its not an option on my desktop manager. Any ideas on how to fix this? Im running on vista now if that matters at all.

Oh, and one other thing, is there a way to set my pictures that I take to save to my micro sd card in my phone?

Number 2, you can set this in the camera options.

pictures on SD
1) install card
2) format card
Options -> Media Card -> BB menu -> format
3) still in the same screen
set
media Card Support: on
Mass Storage Mode Support: on
Auto Enable Mass Storeage Mode when Connected: yes

restart BB
first screen after re-start will ask if you want to store pictures by default on SD. Say yes.
This way BB will default to SD for pisture storage.
You may disable reserved 2MB of space after disabling Media Reserved Pictures memory (set to 0) as your pictures will be stored now on SD

hope this will help

I don't think that DM software is really compatible with Vista. In my case DM installed, but could not run at all. I realized that in spite of what DM installer suggests, I should not restart computer before connecting Pearl..
Same thing may apply to you.

This is what worked for me to get fully functional DM.
Maybe this will work for you too (I suggest to set SD first, this will facilitate/automate driver installation for Vista).

1) uninstall current DM
2) install again
3) do not restart computer (even though installer asks for restart) and do not start DM yet
4) connect blackberry, wait 'till Window Explorer recognizing your SD card opens and you get system message that driver was installed.
5) open DM

hopefully will work for you
