Unhappy Help with 8100 freeze!!!

Please Login to Remove!

After one month with my BB Pearl, I received a strange SMS message with a lot of letters on it, and immediately my BB get freeze. I removed the battery for a few minutes and when the BB starts up again, everything looks OK, except the keys don’t work. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE PHONE!

The only thing that works fine is the track ball movement, but if I push the ball nothing happens…

Please help. I will appreciate any suggestions!!!

Pull the battery and again (with the BB powered ON) and reboot. Does the keyboard work not?

Unhappy

I removed the battery and the SIM Card for an hour and put it back. The BB boots and everything looks as normal, but the keys still not working, neither the power off button.

It is possible that a SMS Text Message received deletes some important file in my BB? Or probably the strange SMS Text Message that I received prior the phone freeze fill up the phone internal memory, disabling the keypad functionality.

That just isn't likely, possible yes, not likely.

You need to reload your Operating System to the BB and you will be fine.

Unhappy

I tried to perform a backup & restore using the info of other BB 8100 that I have, and the keypad still not working. Then I downloaded the last BB Op. Sys. and installed in the BB, start-up & boot again... and the keypad still not working.

Probably the problem is with the keypad hardware... a loosing cable or connection, I don't know. This morning when I check the phone, the display shows this: "Wqeqeqeqeqeqe..."

It’s very strange!!!
