Default disable or turn off autocaps?

Please Login to Remove!

just wondering if anyone knows a way to turn it off? i know you can go into autotext and select specified case for a lot of the words, but as you can imagine, that would be a lengthy process. it's not absolutely necessary, but it's kinda stupid replying "lol" to a text and it automatically get sent as "Lol."

set autotext for the words you dont want to be capitalized. ie, set lol to show as lol not Lol

actually since you have a suretype device you could correct the caps a couple times and the autocompletion would change the word for you

i tried that, but it wouldn't let me go back and make the letter lowercase. tried deleting, tried retyping the word several different ways, it just keeps capitalizing it.

Right after you hit the space key and the word gets gets auto-capitalized, just hit the delete key twice and then the space key again. Cap is gone.

I guess BlackBerrys haven't caught up to IM-speak yet. Pity.

I work with RIM on numerous issues and if you have a suggestion that would improve the software or fix a known bug then you can email them and submit it, and yes they actually read these.
