Default picture scrolling & music/video ff or rw

Please Login to Remove!

Can any of you tell me if it's possible to scroll forward or backwards from picture to picture when viewing a pictures in the blacberry 1830's media picture manager? I hate having to click on a picture, then get out of that picture to go back to the pictures folder and click on the next picture to view it. Is it possible to just be in picture view and go to the next or previous picture? Or is there an app out there that will do this?

Also, when listening to music or viewing videos in the media manager, i'm able to only play, stop and go to the next song or previous song but I can't advance the current song/video in a fast-forward or rewind fashion. Does anyone know if it's possible to scroll through the song and skip ahead to different parts of the song/video?

Thank you!

To advance the video, scroll the trackball up to highlight the progress bar, click and move it left right, and click to set and continue from that point.

Picture viewing is sadly rudimentary...haven't found a way other than using slideshow, which shows all images and advances automatically but doesn't allow any manual control either.

There is a product from Ascendo (I think that's the name).

I haven't really looked into this, so don't have a lot of great advice...

When viewing pictures on my 8100 I can hit the 6 key to go to the next picture and the 4 to go to the previous picture. You don't need to hold down the alt key like when typing a number, just press the key.

Those keystrokes will also work when listening to music to advance to the next or previous song.

8130 i do not believe have any such shortcuts to scroll pictures. you can however start a slideshow with them.

I've read this works with the 8100 but not the 8130.

as far as the picture scrolling goes, i'm not seeing any key shortcuts on my 8130 for it. i've been clicking the trackball while on a picture to bring up the short menu and scrolling down to next or previous from there.

wouldn't this be a feature of particular OS builds, and not dependent on the phone model?

Thanks so much for this information. I was just asking the same thing at the Verizon store about my 8330 and they didn't know the answer. The "n" and "p" key work on the 8330. Thanks again so much! I am still trying to figure out this phone.
