Hi There, I purchased an UNLOCKED blackberry recently and I set it up so that I was receiving email notifications from both my hotmail account and my Microsoft Outlook work account. However, recently, for some unknown reason, I have stopped receiving these email notifications. The admin person at my work has been trying hard to figure out the problem but none of us can see why it's no longer on BES or why it's no longer receiving email notifications. That's the first problem.

The second issue is: does anyone know what would happen if I were to "wipe handheld" to the original modifications? Would it possibly LOCK the blackberry once again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

wiping the handheld will erase all your data but leave the OS as it was "out of the box." You cannot "LOCK" the device again, even if you wanted to.

Thanks so much for your response. I just want to confirm: you're sure about the handheld not becoming "locked" again after "wiping handled?" Sorry, I'm new to this, that's why I'm hesitant.

Do you think by making this move that it would solve my problem (if I was to re-do all of the settings and to start the set-up from scratch in terms of BES, etc)?
