| Battery on eBay legit? 8130 Please Login to Remove! Seems like people are selling the replacement/spare battery for the 8130 on eBay for around $10 shipped, and the knock offs for around $6.
The ads all say the $10 ones are OEM and legit Blackberry replacements.
Anyone know if these are genuine replacements, or knock offs? If anyone has bought a spare battery for a great price, have a recommendation of an online store or eBay seller?
I saw the upgrade battery for $42 but not interested in spending all of that right now since I need other stuff like cases and stuff.

| I have sold some 8100 OEM batteries on eBay and charged $10 shipped. Be sure to check the sellers rating and feedback. What I have seen most are legit, but always, buyer beware. | | Offline

| I just bought one on eBay for my Pearl 2 just a few weeks ago. I've also bought them for a couple of older BB's and a few cell phones. Make sure you get the OEM batteries and check the persons feedback.

| Ordered 2, 1 for me and 1 for my girl for a great price on eBay. Someone selling OEM Legit's, or so they say, was $10.50 for 2 batteries. Their feedback was excellent and better than others selling at twice the price so i'm taking the chance. | | Offline

| I recently bought an OEM Battery off Ebay from mobilexny. His feedback score was high and was a very reasonable price(5.74 bat+ship). I have had the battery in my phone ever since I bought the phone because I put in the battery to test it, and I've had no problems. Here's the link to his site...

| Just an FYI from my experience w/other batteries from ebay...I don't know if these phone batteries are going to be any different, but I've purchased batteries for cameras in the past from ebay, from recognized "good" vendors.
I've found that in the long-run they are inferior to the batteries that ship w/the cameras.
After the cheaper battery has stopped holding a decent charge, my original is still going strong...
They a lot cheaper, so in that context it may be a reasonable trade-off, but wanted to note what you might be getting into.
Again, I've no specific experience w/these BB phone battery replacements. | | Offline

| another thing to keep in mind is that you need to watch out for batteries that are advertised as working in both the 8100 and 8130. It is a known fact that RIM batteries made for the 8100 will not work in the 8130. | | Offline

Again, I've no specific experience w/these BB phone battery replacements. | I once bought an ebay battery for my Canon DSLR. Paid $15 (before shipping) for it, which was less than a third of the price of the Canon battery. After a month, the battery wouldn't hold a charge any more. | | Offline

I'd rather pay the extra money and get an OEM battery. I don't even buy aftermarket batteries (i.e. Digipower) like the ones they sell at Best Buy. I use Canon only for my camera. | | Offline

| I too had an experience with a battery from eBay, but it was definitely not a legit or genuine oem. Maybe these are somehow knock offs as well?
Hoping they work good. It is going to be a spare anyhow. For around $5 each I am not too worried | | Offline

| The critical feature is the power capacity measured in mAh (milli-Amp hours). It's a rating of the amount of power over time that a battery can supply - that is, how long it will run in your phone. I think typical is around 1000 mAh.

| I have bought some batteries for a different phone, some lasted some didn't. Not sure if these sellers are selling "old" stock of batteries which a lot of time don't seem to last long. | | Offline
