I was thinking of using my blackberry as an mp3 player either with a Bluetooth headphone set but my pearl (purchased refurbished) battery doesn't last too long so ill likely just buy a standard mp3 player. Thoughts?

what do you mean your battery doesnt last long enough? how long do you listen to an mp3 player at a give time?

Sorry I just realized how incredibly vague I was lol.

My battery generally only lasts <48 hours. No media playback, just calls and txting.
Now that I have the unlimited browsing plan I think I'm burning through it even faster.

I was thinking of getting one of those little converters that allow you to plug a standard set of headphones into the BB's small headphone jack. The converter (9mm to 6mm audio headjack... or whatever) only costs $6. Then I would purchase a nice memory card to plug into my bb and dump some songs on there.

The more I thought about it, the more worried I was that given the relatively low battery life I already had, it may be better for me to simply get an actual mp3 player for the same price and give my battery a rest.
