Default How do you update the pearl with OSX?

Please Login to Remove!

I'd like to update my phone's software, but the TMOBILE site only has instructions that use windows programs.

How can I update the phone's software using my MacBook Pro?

Thanks!

I'm still new to the BB party, but I believe you can't update your BB with a Mac. RIM only has only Windows installers for their updates. You may want to check with your nearest TMobile store that has repair facilities and see if they'll do the update for you.

There should be a WAP update somewhere, shouldn't there?

Updating your BB OS is best handled through the Desktop Manager, which is a PC app only. If you are running a Mac OS, and have no other options, I recommend running VMWare Fusion or Parallels to get the Windows OS on your Mac.

OTA updates of the OS would be scary, since the backup of the device is a major step in upgrading the device. I could not imagine a full upgrade with no back up....
