I believe there is a third party application that does this but I am not for sure.
Search the "After Market Software" or type "Voice Notes" in the search engine.

Check out VR+ Voice Recording software from Shape Services.

There is, but it doesn't allow you to save the notes to the memory. I believe the newer devices like the 8130, 8120 and 8110 have the newer operating system that does allow this. However, the first generation Pearls, while they do have a voice recorder application, only allow you to email them or MMS them.

Jeremy is right. I have the 8130 Pearl 2 and it has a voice recorder built in and the voice notes can be saved and even used as ringtones.

You would need to switch carriers as the 8130 is only available for Sprint, Verizon and Alltel.

Or you could wait until the 8110 is released for AT&T. That should have the voice recording application.

I had no idea, thanks for the tip. I would have thought ALL 8130's would have the same features but didn't realize it's done through the carriers. Interesting!

Thanks Jeremy,

PS, I love the Boondocks and live in Baltimore!! I believe the creator is from Baltimore.
